Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is the basic chocolate chip cookie recipe that was passed on from generations to generations and made millions of happy cookie eaters. It aslo is probably known as the best chocolate chip cookie recipe.

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1/2 tsp. of salt
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 2/3 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla

Preheat oven to 450o. In one large bowl, put flour, brown sugar and salt, then mix these ingredients a bit. After, add egg, butter and vanilla. Stir everything until you get an homogenous mixture, then pour in the chocolate chips. Make small golf ball sized balls with the dough and place them at least 3 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie pan. With a fork, that you can dip a bit in flour so the dough will not stick to it, flatten the little "balls" without making them too thin. Bake for 10 minutes.

Brownies

This recipe is really easy, and uses the ingredients that are already on hand! The brownie is soft, fudgy, sweet and chocolatey!

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 5 tbsp butter
    1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs

    Preheat oven to 375oF.

Prepare a baking dish. I use an 8x8 inch square glass dish. I think an 8x8 or 9x9 round dish should work just fine too. If the dish is nonstick, you don't need to do anything. If it's not nonstick, grease it.

Melt the butter - a couple of minutes in a microwave will do it.

Stir the cocoa powder into melted butter.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar for several minutes.

Add butter/cocoa mixture to egg mixture and stir. Add the flour and stir until combined (don't overmix).

Put the batter in the baking dish and spread evenly. Put in the oven.

Bake for 20 minutes and take it out. It will seem undercooked, but it's not! Don't be tempted to continue baking it until it's hard - you would end up with a tough brownie!

Let it cool down for 10 minutes, and you'll have a soft, fudgy, yummy brownie! Slice it and eat. YUM! It's best when it's warm. Let your tongue swim in the gooey sweetness!
