SCIENCE AND SOCIAL STUDIES at All Saints Kindergarten

Science
The child's innate curiosity and interest in natural phenomena are stimulated through exploration with materials and activities such as:

  • Magnets, mirrors, hand lenses, water, rocks, shells, insects, plants, and more.
  • Observation
  • Investigations
  • Experiments

Social Studies
Social Studies in Kindergarten emphasizes an awareness of self, family, and community through stories, books, games, role-playing, and field trips. This process enables the student to recognize similarities and differences as they experience other cultures. An extensive study of Mexico is culminated with a Mexican Fiesta to which parents and special guests are invited.
